This is a simple lovespoon very much in the tradition of the earliest Welsh examples. Their simplicity of design, however, did not detract from the hopes and dreams of the rural Welsh swains that carved them. This spoon is 8" long, carved from poplar and finished with food-grade walnut oil for a durable finish. This spoon can be used on a daily basis for anything from stirring your tea to eating ice cream. With such use it will develop a lovely patina that will only enhance its beauty.
