I thank all A.W.A. members and supporters of Prince Madoc Plaque restoration, who rallied around magnificently and carried out a sustained effort to ensure every single legislator in the Alabama Legislature learned about Prince Madoc plaque resolution. (HJR#679)However, we were failed by the Alabama Senate. I listened to some of the Senate legislature session yesterday. They spent the entire session bickering, and scoring political points instead of doing the job we pay them to do. An entire legislative session wasted instead of dealing with the legislative issues that were before them.Needless to say, they did not bring the Prince Madoc Resolution to the table, therefore, it was never voted on. The Legislative session for this year ended yesterday so this means we have to wait until January 2009, and we'll have to start over with the House of Representatives.We will continue to collect signatures on the petition, so please keep promoting it. We've decided to start a Prince Madog "Fund" which will be used for a NEW memorial for Prince Madog ap Owain Gwynedd. What kind will be determined by the funds we're able to collect. Where will it be displayed is still in the works.Thank each of you for all your support and we kindly ask for your continued support until we reach our goal. Last week I think, NAY, I KNOW that I made an inapropriate, racist and politically inncorrect comment but got away with it (I hope).As part of my recruiting role with the army, potentials go through a selection process where they do a series of tests and challenges. Two are command task orientated in teams to check out team players and potential leaders.The sydicate I assessed was mostly made up of English lads with one little Welshman from the island of strong men. He was quick, he was strong, probably the most robust and most able to endure hardship of the eight. His first language was Welsh and he looked down at his feet a lot and blushed easily. I saw me 20 years ago. His accent was so strong it brought a tear to my eye.At the end of a particularly rubbish attempt to use planks and ropes to get across a chasm I went on the rascist rant. The wee islander grafted quietly like a trojan whilst the others had a chinese parliament of words to show me how clever they all were. This is the gist of what I said:'You see there are some people who do not need to have any competence in any skill to be confidently authoritive on it, these people are called THE ENGLISH PEOPLE. They know everything'Like it.Im waiting nervously for a shout to go in for a chat with the CO without coffee!!!!!

Dont be fooled by the Saxon/Norman propaganda machine. Owain and Elvis run a fish and chip shop in Corwen. My mate Edgar swears to it"We need evidence! Does anyone have any photographs?. ( hint, photoshop skills required ). I think there should be a prize on here for the best pic. Perhaps a jar of of "G&P's Homemade Pickled Eggs ". I hear they are a legend!
