Not only have I seen it and OWN it, but I made my daughters (Moira and Elizabeth) watch it and they LOVED it. Secret of Roan Inish is truly one of my favorite movies. My parents introduced me to it as a child. :) On St. Patrick's Day, we'd eat corned beef and cabbage, listen to the Clancy Brothers and then watch Secret of Roan Inish; it was a family tradition that I've carried on to my family. :)

And thank you for the compliment! I didn't appreciate my name until I grew up; my daughter feels the same about hers, lol.

Slán agat, a Bhrian!

Diolch i chi, Brian!  It's been a nice day, and a great week since I learned Dafydd Iwan is coming back to the NAFOW!  And I will look around for something to replace my daffodil photo!

Diolch yn fawr!  Glad to be here.  It's been my hope to learn to speak Welsh as well as Gaelic (both Irish and Scots variants) and to learn a bit more about Welsh culture.  Also looking for Welsh music (I have 4 CDs by Meic Stevens, mainly his 1965-72 material - good stuff, if you haven't heard it) and was recently fascinated going into one of my local liquor stores and finding Welsh single-malt whisky (Penderyn), as I'd no idea such a "crayture" (as in "a wee dram o'...") existed.  Again, thanks for the welcome!

Diolch yn fawr Brian. Every signature is an important one for this petition if we are to show the Welsh Assembly that Cymric patriots stand united in wanting this highway between North and South Cymru named after our greatest warrior Prince.

Diolch yn fawr Brian on behalf of Cymru. Every signature on this petition counts very much. United we will show the Welsh Assembly that this is what the Cymric patriots want.
