The answer is yes, as all the Celtic races are connected through ancestry. All are passionate, proud & creative whether in sport, or cultural interests like poetry or art. I am an artist inspired by Welsh history and legends,.see my home page.
Fun to hear about your own farm named for your dog. And it made me wonder... how is he naughty? ... what is his name? ... and your farm's name? ... do you keep cows? ... do you write poetry, too?
He steals important things, like hats, gloves, shoes and the checkbook, he runs, he plays with rocks (breaks his teeth) and in general has a mind of his own...he also runs the place helping with the goats, chickens, cows and us. He is the father of our other two dogs. His name is Marley Brown, and my brother in law named the farm, Marley's Run. The poem I entered is about the dogs...thank you for being interested.
The robes I am wearing signify that I am an ovate in the Order of Bards, Ovates and Druids (OBOD), which I wear on ceremony/ritual days. The design is my own concoction, and is a reference to the Welsh flag, but with a California twist.

Actually, it said that more is known about the Picts than is known about the Celts, as Pictish writing seems to have survived better. The Wikipedia article makes for a good (if short) read.

I was under the impression that the Picts were in Britain before the Celts, but Wikipedia says that they were Celts. In any case, that makes us cousins, especially since I also have a wee bit of the Scot in me as well.

The weather is indeed very similar...just a fraction of an inch difference in the average annual rainfall figure ( Wales is slightly wetter ). Esiteddfod phonetically = Eye-steth-vod
Hi Patricia..... Portland Oregon here. Originally from Cardiff. Croeso i Americymru. Gaabriel and I created this site just over a year ago as a Social and friendship site for the Welsh, Welsh ex-pats, persons of Welsh descent and Cymruphiles around the world. It has grown considerably since its foundation and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you....our latest member. Feel free to invite any friends that you think would be interested in joining. The network has many features which allow people with a shared love of Wales to communicate and share photos, videos, links, blogposts etc and we will be adding new features from time to time. Make yourself right at home. Once again...
