Hi Gwyncy ....just thought I'd draw your attention to this post:-

It's a great opportunity for Welsh bands to make their music more widely known in the US. Contact Sean Owens at IRFT Celtic Radio. Details on the blogpost.

Good Morning from sunny California! any connection to "Quincy Jones"? we may be related back through the centuries as my mother's family were Jones's but I was born in Birkenhead, spent a few young years in Dyserth, and my half sister, Hazel, is buried in Wales. and probably my father is too, near Transfynned but I don't know, as I barely knew him. What kind of music do you make? films? I am very involved with a small theatre in Cambria, California and wish we could put on a Celtic play or performance but as yet, it has not happened..doing Mousetrap with American actors right now...you should hear the accents...comical!

If you feel like chatting, please get back to me: I only remember a few Welsh words so I cannot converse in that most unusual language but I would like to keep a connection to Wales..my spiritual home, I feel.

Nah, one 'f'' in English for Tafia, otherwise mafia would be prounounced "mavia" too.. We switch it to Taffia if we are using yr hen iaith..

That's right Gwyncy,
I managed David and if you have his original EMI recording of "If I could see the Rhondda One More time", you'll see that I co-produced it with the writer Johnny Caesar. Where do or did you live? Thanks for the comments.

Good portrait. Croeso! Also interested to hear about the old music. I'm in a choir in Vancouver. Went to college in Ponty and I have family in Bedwas.

Shwmai! I love music and can sing a bit... must be the Welsh in me. My late mentor, an Irishman, upon discovering the Welsh in me, asked me if I knew the difference between the Irish and the Welsh. His answer: The Irish only THINK they can sing. hehe I would love to get my hands on some CD recordings of the oldest known Welsh music, preferably in Welsh and pre-Christian songs. Can you point me in the right direction? Diolch!

Hi Gwyncy .... Portland Oregon here. Originally from Cardiff. Croeso i Americymru. Gaabriel and I created this site less than a year ago as a Social and friendship site for the Welsh, Welsh ex-pats, persons of Welsh descent and Cymruphiles around the world. It has grown considerably since its foundation and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you....our latest member. Feel free to invite any friends that you think would be interested in joining. The network has many features which allow people with a shared love of Wales to communicate and share photos, videos, links, blogposts etc and we will be adding new features from time to time. Make yourself right at home. Once again...

Croeso!
