Congrats on your 4th birthday at AmeriCymru! Penblwydd Hapus i chi! Happy Birthday to you! May your day be full of good friends and family, and good cheer. Pob hwyl Brian
PS Please feel free to swap out your flower-head icon (upper left picture on your page) with some photo of you or of any Welsh ancestors or your environs... something meaningful to you which expresses to others something of who you are. It is fun and will only take a minute. Diolch!

My name is Richard Floyd and I have been researching my Father's lineage, Floyd, for a couple of years now and have hit a rodd block with Edward FLoyd born 1613 in Henrico VIrginia. I have been assured by others that his heritage is Welsh... Can't find his spouse nor his parents and I am trying to find out how we got here and when... I know there are 10 LDS centers in Wales but they won't deal with email or written letters.... So I desperately need help from some kind person in Wales....
Hope you are the one,
RIchard
The best time for visiting Patagonia is at the end of the Spring, end of November and beginning of December if you want to see some sea life (seawolves, whales, sea elephants, penguins etc). If you like wintersports the best time is July and August, but you can enjoy the snow at the morning and the beach in the afternoon all on the same day travelling from the mountains to the seaside. Yr Wladfa (the colony) is beatiful and the people use to speak welsh, especially my town -Gaiman-. Patagonia is really BEAUTIFUL, we use to care of our wildlife and colorful landscapes. I recommend you to take a look to the glaciers and the city of Ushuaia named as "the city of the end of the world".
Hello LInda,
Sorry for my delay. Indeed, Ceris is still working at the Library for sure. Guess what? I´ve read something about Tabitha Thomas but I cannot remember where. I will look on my notes and see what can I find. At Aberystwyth look for Ceris or for Eirionnedd and Derek Baskerville, they're working on Patagonia's history too By my side, I will travel to Cymru on September. Ceris will come to Patagonia for the Eistedfodd on July with some other welsh people..
Dear Linda,
I don't have much information on that. I checked out for you surname in the Albina Jones book but there are no Jensen´s there. If you speak welsh you can google the name Albina Jones de Zampini. She is an old woman that made a terrific work gathering all history of people which came in the earlier 1900 and before. I use to visit Aberystwyth library there are many researchers that got all the information and siwr you'll find everything you need there. Contact Ceris Gruffudd there and tell him that you´re my friend. Tan tro nesa.
Hail and well met! Welcome to Americymru, soon to be your favorite website! Hopefully :-) Check out the various interest groups, and the videos and music... wonderful stuff. And there are a lot of nice people here too. Hope you like what you find! Blessings to you this day.

Hi Linda...Portland Oregon here. Originally from Cardiff. Croeso i Americymru. Gaabriel and I created this site less than a year ago as a Social and friendship site for the Welsh, Welsh ex-pats and persons of Welsh descent around the world. It has grown considerably since its foundation and we would like to extend a warm welcome to you....our latest member. Feel free to invite any friends that you think would be interested in joining. The network has many features which allow people with a shared love of Wales to communicate and share photos, videos, links, blogposts etc and we will be adding new features from time to time. Make yourself right at home. Once again...
