Diolch for your welcoming invitation to me into Americymru. I'm not a Welsh speaker but I'm 100% Welsh and immensely proud of it. The only place I've been to in USA is San Francisco where it poured down with rain, as it's doing here in S.Wales at the moment. I've written a novel and an anthology of short stories, for the most part with a Welsh setting. For more biographical details, please consult www.belroberts.co.uk/info@belroberts.co.uk
Prynhawn Da Ceri! Carmarthen here! I'm sitting at my desk in Oriel Myrddin Gallery at the moment where I work. I have joined Americymru because I want to tell you about our visit to New York later this week! Along with 3 other galleries we will be at SOFA New York - here's a link to the blog we have set up for the trip http://sofacymru.wordpress.com/ it also has links to our Facebook, Twitter and Flickr sites. Hope it may be of interest to you.
Hi Ceri - thanks very much for the invitation - this looks like a good place. Look forward to learning my way round. Greeting to all from a village in the south of England. best, Vanessa
Hi Ceri. As your plans for the Oct event in Portland firm up please consider submitting a listing on ElderAudience http://www.elderaudience.com/ . It is a good way to spread the word among seniors and senior facilities in Oregon and SW Washington and get attendees. You can submit listing info online. Also, I continue to seek Welsh presenters/singers/storytellers who might want to entertain seniors at local facilities. Very modest pay but gratifying! Thanks,Pam Waldman pam@elderaudience.com
Firstly huge apologies for the delay in getting back to you after I joined. Thank you for the warm welcome.
And strange you should mentioned Portland Oregan (which I'm sure is a massive place) but I've recently connected with a woman from there on Twitter who arranges Celtic tours to Ireland and the UK http://www.timetraveltours.com/ She's actually coming to visit with me in a fortnight as she's touring Ireland. Social media certainly makes the World a lot smaller.
I wanted to ask a few questions about this site if that's ok?
I do a lot of interviews and articles for www.tweakyourbiz.com - would they be something I could post here or should they only be of a Welsh nature? On the site if you search my name you'll see what I do.
Also the reason I connected with Ginger at Time Travel was because of trying to advertise my neighbours holiday cottages here in rural Ireland. Is it ok if I mention them now and then?
And finally are you on Pinterest so I can connect up with you there too?
Just wanted to know the rules of the site a bit better.
I have now read 'Snow: The Double Life of a World War 11 Spy', by Nigel West and Madoc Roberts.
I agree with the words 'what a tangled web we weave, when first we set out to decieve', or something like that.
'Snow' was a chameleon and I'm not quite sure whose side he was on, but he undoubtedly had a flair for self-preservation, like most spies.
It is remarkable how this man played so important a role in the intelligence services of the WW11.
I cannot interview Madoc, unfortunately, because Broadband is not that good down here and though I have a new camera with a built-in microphone, the image and sound is poor, but thank you for giving me the opportunity.
I have read the book about the spy 'ZigZag' (the name explains the personality) written by Ben McIntyre.

Diolch Ceri! I understand that many of your members helped us out by filling questionnaires to help us discover if there is a demand for a pure on-line Welsh course outside of Wales - we are very grateful for the support.
Sut mae! Ceri & Brian, thanks for you kind welcome. I notice you promote and sell publications on Americymru, could you send me some info regarding this in order that perhaps I could promote my book called FOOTPRINTS IN THE STONE, please visit http://www.aptwebsite.toucansurf.com for my info. Perhaps I could include a mention of your Americymru site here, would that be okay? Would you have any links to other Welsh sites? Best Regards David.

War often turned 'ordinary' people into heroes.
Diolch again and Cofion Cynnes, Gillian
Sorry the quality isn't very good.
Certainly. Maybe someone will recognize the event, or have some meaning associated with it.
