Pontypandy's Fireman Sam at Target!
Pontypandy's Fireman Sam (or 'Sam Tan' when I was growing up in Wales), is beloved by generations of British children and has recently been acquired by the TV station PBS Sprout for a new generation of American children to enjoy.
Unlike other UK imports such as 'Bob the Builder' and 'Thomas the Tank Engine', the lovely Welsh (and English, Australian, Italian) accents of Sam and friends have been thankfully left intact.
Fireman Sam DVD's are now available at Target, Best Buy, Amazon etc.

I tell you it is weired watching a bunch of little American kids sitting around tv in school watching Fireman Sam! More so because the accents are still Welsh, Italian, Australian etc... they didnt re dub them for over here.

I was obsessed with Sam Tan as a child! Everytime we went to the library I came out with a Sam Tan book or video!!

I am embarassed to admit, I always though they had just made up the name as a cross between Pontypridd and Tonypandy, I only recently found out it was actually a town!
