It is now late on a Monday evening - and we are resting overnight before travelling again.
The Crimson Moon Tavern, Brother Weaver Barrel (aka Vollsanger) and the "Widow" spent a pleasant weekend somewhere in the realms of Azriel - where heroes from many lands and times are summoned to entertain the "Powers" and gain wealth and notoriety and fame....
At the same time - these heroes also are raising funds for the RNLI - the Royal National Lifeboat Institution - this year's…

Gwen Fulton said… Hello Iain ...
Yes, you are correct :) ... she is the same Princess Gwenllian who has a field named after her in front of Kidwelly Castle. So many get her confused with the younger Princess Gwenllian, daughter of Llywelyn ap Gruffydd, the last true Prince of Wales. The Princess Gwenllian that I am referring to is the daughter of Gruffydd ap Cynan, King of Gwynedd and sister to Prince Owain Gwynedd ap Gruffydd. I've been doing research on her for 12 years. She is very dear to my heart and my goal is to be sure that she is remembered for her sacrifice for her beloved Wales. She fought to the death for her country and the Welsh people. She was brutally beheaded in front of one of her children by Maurice de Londres after she lead a Welsh army to fight off the Normans. She was a brave and noble woman who deserves to be much more than just a footnote in Welsh History. While I am happy that the younger Princess Gwenllian is getting recognition for her birthright being stolen from her, I am heartbroken that Princess Gwenllian verch Gruffydd has very few things to honor her memory. It is my personal mission to be sure that her dying wish is honored. I've got a page dedicated to her on Facebook called, Remembering Gwenllian. And, I am working on getting my website www.gwenllian.org set up, as well. It has been a labor of love over all these many years. Thank you for taking interest in my Facebook page and for sending a friend request. I wish you the very best in all things :)
