This is the online bookstore of the Americymru Social Network which can be found at http://americymru.net Ultimately we want this to include as many books, movies, albums by Welsh authors, musicians, filmmakers, etc as possible. If it's in Wales, about Wales or by a Welsh or Welsh-descended artist, we want it listed! As the list grows we will include more categories. If anyone has any suggestions for categories or individual titles please add a comment at the bottom of this page. For purposes of this listing we are limited to merchandise that is available on Amazon.com. All categories are handpicked with the exception of the general "Wales" category which is the product of an Amazon keyword search and updates independently of our efforts. Check out some of our reviews and interviews with authors over on the AmeriCymru Blogor above in our 'Best from Wales' selection.

Hi There

Deke Leonard, Llanelli 's legendary guitarist and for many years mainstay of the Welsh rock band Man, has just published his third book, The Twang Dynasty. This book traces the development of popular guitar music from its roots in delta blues, seen through the eyes of Deke who has spent 50 years playing guitar music. As well as starting with his formative years in Llanelli, it has chapters dedicated to Welsh guitarists such as Dave Edmunds, Andy Fairweather Low and Micky Jones.

Now available on Amazon

Thank you Ceri -- that's great.  By the way, it's difficult to find your book reviews on the site.  Might it be a good idea to link them to the book pages somehow?  Or am I missing something?

Hello Ceri

Did you manage to put my novels on the list too?  A search in the search box doesn't bring them up...

Hi Ceri. University of Wales Press has just published my book on R.S. Thomas, R. S. Thomas: A Stylistic Biography. It is available now on Amazon. If you could add it to the list, I would appreciate it very much. Here is a review from Grahame Davies, winner of the Wales Book of the Year award:

"This is a landmark in R.S.Thomas studies. Too often, the work of the great priest-poet of Wales has been interpreted according to competing ideologies, with his poetry appropriated by the politicised and co-opted by the committed. Daniel Westover's impressive study clears away the critical accretions of the R.S.Thomas industry and recalls us to attend to the sheer intense craft of this most resourceful poet. He reminds us that Thomas, though apparently a reclusive traditionalist in his life and thought, was nonetheless constantly progressive and experimental in his literary techniques. As we approach the centenary of Thomas's birth, this book lets us see the poet afresh according to the only standard by which his work will ultimately live - his artistry." --Dr Grahame Davies, Honorary Fellow, Cardiff University

Diolch yn fawr,

Daniel

Ceri -- how do I get my Angel Mountain books onto this list?  They are on Amazon.com (or at least, some of them are) -- do I need to upload covers to your site, or do you extract info direct from the Amazon site?  Thanks for doing all this to promote Welsh writing!
