    Diolch Ceri,

Good to be on board with fellow ex-pats. I've not travelled as far as some  I live in the land of the Saes, or as I prefer to think of it... missionary work in the land of the benighted.

This feels like a particularly good generation to have been born Welsh as there seems to be something of a more confident cultural revival and a greater appreciation of the significance of our homeland.... witness the popularity of this group.

I've really appreciated the support you have given me in bringing my Reso books ( http://www.literaturewales.org/writers-of-wales/i/133830/ ) to a North American audience.

    Onwards and Upwards,

    David

hi and thank you for the welcome , Diolch am y croeso. Tarw = bull? . Blood pressure now normal after six nations. Try the following if you've not come across them before. rhodgilbrtcomedian.com. I caught his act in Durham, knew he was from Wales, but didn't know til he appeared that he was from Carmarthen, and so, 2 hrs of humourous hell as that is my home town. Funny+. Try mennaelfyn.co.uk a poet/writer/feminist strong Carmarthen link and someone I've lost touch with since college days.

If in Cardiff try the Mimosa restaurant in the Bay. It's named after the ship that took hardy souls from Wales via Liverpool to Patagonia. ref Cymru Patagonia. Patagonian potato cakes to die for. Some of the staff are Welsh learners and try it out on willing customers. If you you tube Rhod gilbert you might find a sketch about Cardiff Bay. Hwyl . ps have discovered a distant cousin in Seattle, a writer, Joan Davies Okimoto.

Diolch Ceri. It's great to know that there's a vast Welsh community outside of Wales. You always hear about the Scott's and the Irish, but not a lot about the Welsh..... We must have been the silent Celts! Nice to see the Welsh language being spoken in other countries, outside of the Motherland. Wish I lived a little closer, would love to go to the Eisteddfod, went most years when I was back home. Loved all the different cultures dancing, singing, etc. Our local Welsh/Canadian Choir is going to the Aberystwyth Eisteddfod this year....Hope the weathers kind to them. Lol!

Cael noson dda ac unwaith eto 'Diolch' am y croeso.
