Gwyn - took a while to find out how to report but found a way. But will it work - I don't know! If it does work, will I have to re-submit report another three times as Sgwar Alban (Alban Square) goes round the Sgwar Alban field! And it only allows one marker per report.

Here's the link - Mapinsight Teleatlas
It doesn't carry the google name but it is where they send you.
I found it on google @

With the report , you pin point it on map, give address (the correct address I hope) of offending/wrong address or whatever your reporting. Give extra info if needed (I added that I was reporting all Sgwan Albans and not just the one pinpointed) and submit by adding an e-mail and they give you a reference number as below.
Just so I don't forget the ref: 6ced3102-f962-102c-b46b-cd8e5e2fcd79

Gareth - thanks for the side-by-side link. This can be quite an useful tool system for anyone working with geographical information. 2 sources better than 1. Also on the errors, I have not had time to look but if you find any way of reporting on these then I'll be most willing to point them out. Hwyl.

Gwyn ,
Now just as I found 'where's the path' (OS Map and Google Map in-browser software) I thought might as well check whether 'Sgwan Alban' was Google misspelling, or an inherited one. They didn't inherit it from OS, but OS is no Angel. 'Fford' used instead of 'Ffordd' on several roads by Google's misspelling
And like you commented on Google, OS is in same pond with lack of circumflexed ŵ and ô.

Thanks for the heads up Gareth. Heres a screenshot of what it looks like in the browser:-

For those who like the detail of OS maps and the view of Google maps Side-by-side map to view both the same time and as you move on one the other map moves with you.

Ian, funnily enough we have a Treorki (spelt this way in a book that I just checked in) over here in Patagonia too and we have exactly the same problem of not knowing exactly how we should spell the name! Its an agricultural area of the Chubut river valley and my wife's family hail from there. WIkipedia says this:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treorchy

Treorchy (Welsh: Treorci)

I'll start using Treorci for our place over here from now on I think!!

There's three signs leading into Treorchy - the village where I reside. One spelling is as just written and the other two are Treorci and Treorky. I confidently expect Treorkey, Treoche and Treorcay to appear in the next hundred years.

Hi Gareth. Not only Sgwan for Sgwar but the "w" needs a circumflex too so it should be Sgŵar Alban. Other mistakes in the Google link just on this image are, "Lon Peniel" instead of "Lôn Peniel", "Heol y Dwr" instead of the correct "Heol y Dŵr". Can you imagine how many mistakes all over Wales!!! I could not find any way of reporting errors. If you find a way of doing this we should should get on to them. These mistkaes are obviously general in nature and therefore should be easy to put right. Hwyl am y tro. Gwyn

Sgymraeg Welsh literature mis-haps, poor spellings and/or translations.
Sgwar Alban in English is Alban Square

renamed as Sgwan Alban by google
As seen
on Google maps .
