Can anyone help me? I'm trying to find a phonetic copy of the Lords Prayer in Welsh. I found many variations,. but none phonetically.
I want to read it at my Aunt's memorial service. Heer parents, my grandparents were from Cardif and Pontypool (sp?).

Permalink Reply by David L Smith on April 24, 2012 at 5:24pm I did find one there. Thank you so much. Is that the version that is generally used? It's different than one i found from the 1988 bible.
I can't recall where I got it - the phonetics of course are mine.

sancteiddier dy enw.
Deled dy deyrnas.
Gwneler dy ewyllys,
megis yn y nef, felly ar y ddaear hefyd.
Dyro i ni heddiw ein bara beunyddiol.
A maddau i ni ein dyledion, fel y maddeuwn ninnau i'n dyledwyr.
Ac nac arwain ni i brofedigaeth;
eithr gwared ni rhag drwg.
Canys eiddot ti yw'r deyrnas, a'r nerth, a'r gogoniant, yn oes oesoedd.
For those who didn't go to the website, here is what is given there:

You may find Psalm 23 is better than wishes of 'luck'!
Permalink Reply by David L Smith on May 7, 2012 at 8:16am Everything went well. Two ladies that attended the memorial actually said they understood what I was reading! Thanks again to all my new friends.
