Right, Dave!
Hi

Music sceen in Wales is on the up with many top venues in Cardiff and Newport , and with bands like Moterhead and The Damned and The Beatles once played Abergavenny friend of mine seen them there , good concert , despite John Lennon having a punch up with man in crowd .
Have a great day all.
Stu.
This is an old discussion but... here is my favorite current Welsh Rock band. WE//ARE//ANIMAL are from North Wales and just released a new smash up single yesterday on iTunes. Here is the link for a crazy psychadelic video the lads had put together for the song. If you like the song please head over to iTunes to get it for yourself. Keep Welsh Rock bands alive.
Here also is the link to iTunes.

Talking of great videos...check this one out....'Greyhounds" - Masters In France :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PyvbmSIroFI

And who can forget the mighty Mr Huw :- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rex_QmH5qzA
Yes they are pretty good. There seems to be a bubble of good Welsh (from Wales rather than in Welsh) music appearing at the moment, two faves of mine are Klaus Kinski from the north who put on quite a show, and Bomb the Sun from the south who sound right in your face and rock excellently.
There are plenty more and I recommend the Adam Walton show on BBC radio Wales

This is how I keep abreast of things.
Diolch for the heads up Maeyc....Bookmarked it....listening now
u like levon helms from the band? im confused

he sings in welsh?
Exactly.
?
how many speak welsh here?

Late to the discussion but, I'm learning Welsh.  Like Datblygu, SFA, John ac Alun, Bryn Fon, Brigyn, etc.  My kids tell me I'm listening to Indie - sounds more like rock / folk rock to me (depends on the group - J&A can sound very country, look up Hei, Anita.)
