Well, of course it's not.  'Fair' doesn't exist.  Fairness is a philosophical construct designed to unify the ideas of absolute justice and absolute mercy, seen through the glasses of equality.  It's great error is equating personal value with personal composition.  I am not more important than you, but I am not you; nor am I the same as you.  Deal not with 'fairness', but with righteousness.
