RGC 1404 is the rugby development region of North Wales. The team started its first season of competitive rugby in 2012-13 in Div 1 East. Once a fortnight it travelled from Colwyn Bay in the North to teams in South Wales. It gained promotion in its first season. This season it is competing in the SWALEC Championship against such teams as Pontypool and Ebbw Vale and at the half way stage of the season they are 3rd in the league.
